Playing devils advocate for a moment, and trying like to fukc not to let my obvious reaction to surface, but it appears the boy is mentally sick. Lets face it, to carry out such an attack on one so small, does indicate he's not right in the head!
I'm not saying let him off, nor go easy, but I am saying that the sensationalism reporting of the event may be clouding the judgments of rational thinking. Lock him up in a secure mental institution and find out why. Th story horrifies me beyond belief, but there are serious questions to be answered here. If he's too young to be named then surely too young to left in charge of a small child. I'm not blaming the mother and I can't imagine how she feels at all. However, why was one so young allowed to look after another small child?
To take the attitude of "an eye for an eye" is silly, imo. That makes us, or his jury, no better then he. He needs, as already said, locked away for a very long time. |
