Not having a pop at RC. This is endemic in society. This breed of scum are still out there living normal lives and mixing with people who would not dream of such vile physical and mental abuse. They need to be exposed and neutralised.

There can be no justification for these horrors at all. It's enough to make a jaded old cynic weep._________________ The advert above is nowt to do with me!

Sorry but this is just fucking sick and actually makes me sick to my stomach
This is almost worse than regular scum kiddie fiddlers in respect of what and who these people are supposed to represent. Seriously, these people are supposed to be representing God, and the power of religion (as a person with a catholic education) is that when someone who represents the church asks you to do something - you don't even hesitate for a second as your have complete and utter respect for them.
I hope there really is a hell and I hope for all eternity these cnuts souls are tortured over and over again - fucking despicable by those that committed and those that turned a blind eye

| Why cant we have a pop at RC? Suppressing absolutely normal sexual urges in the name of God is bound to create tensions and frustrations that will come out in anyway they can even in these most vile ways. If that is having a non pc disrespectful pop then chuff to it, the world has lost it completely.

Exactly. Preaching their filth to the deluded masses so that they have them behave in a totally different way to themselves. Preach that sex is disgusting and abhorant, yet prey on the vulnrable in society. |

Carry on mate.....Just that it was not the purpose of the thread. I did not want to upset anyone on that basis, thus detracting from what is a massively underestimated and under reported problem in society as a whole, and not just from within institutions.

| Maybe so Simon, but this is a problem within society whereby 25% of young people are exposed to abuse. It is not a problem soley accountable to religious institutions.

No I am aware, but I was just making reference to the initial ref of the fact it happened within the realms of the RC church. |

People should be accepting and accepted for their spritual beliefs, so long as they are not harmful to others. I have my beliefs, I respect those of others, but do not condone harming people in their beliefs or because of their beliefs.
In my opinion, it is wrong of a church to impose celibacy, and to impose the non use of contraception. If someone can explain to me why this is God given case, I would be prepared to consider.

Celibacy was introduced to the priests to stop the claims upon the church for illegitimate children that were being born. I have no problem with peoples faith, just that forced faith by rule of fear disgusts me, by any religion!!
I don't believe in certain things, yet I do in others. I follow my rules of decency towards others as was taught by my parents etc. IF there is an omnipotent god that I will have to answer things to on my death, then so be it. There are many things I am ashamed of in my life, not least of all the deaths of others. Maybe the images I live with daily are the hell I must endure?? Maybe the constant thoughts of pills and vodka are my pennance? Maybe the fact I can never take fro granted the very simple things in life without morose thoughts are the purgatory I have to live my life in. I find no solace in the church, I find no solace in a deity that I have to have 100% faith in, without question, to give comfort. I have ultimate faith in my family and for those is the reason I don't pop all the pills in one go. That 12 year old kid that hangs on my every word is my faith. The one that needs me to fix his bike, to teach him skills in the woods, that picks him up from school when it's pissing down etc. Thats my faith.
Still, I'm babling now. Treat each other with respect and many of the worlds problems would end, but greed and power just keep getting in the way and fukcing it all up.
Sorry, rant over!! |

Many "believers" have constant questions and doubts. It does not make them any more or less faithful. Man was born with a brain, and thought processing ability, and free will.
