The 27-year-old ended the season on loan at Barnsley and helped the Oakwell club secure survival in the Championship with two goals in 10 appearances.

Mifsud's free-agent status makes him an attractive proposition for a number of clubs and a host of sides are thought to be monitoring his situation.

Leeds are believed to be in the market for a new striker, with doubts surrounding the future of prize asset Jermaine Beckford after he was placed on the transfer list earlier this week.

Whites boss Simon Grayson is keen to bolster his attacking ranks as he looks to build a side capable of winning promotion next season and he sees Mifsud as a key addition.

Not the sort of form we need is it?

Would you pay to see a movie where the leading man could only remember 20% of his lines?  Very Happy

No but I'd pay to see a movie where the leading woman was only clothed 20% of the time  Twisted Evil
