Does that make it true?

Surely the first three were equally unbelievable, its just you are viewing the last installment with older eyes and a wiser mind?

Good film, but too many cheesy parts, and Ravey, if you didn't find bits of it tooooo cheesy (beinga ble to swing through the forest on vines having never done before, being able to survive falls down large waterfalls) then I pronounce you a numbskull

Actually last time I was in the rainforest I tried the swinging from the vines thing and found it surprisingly easy.
And as for being swept over huge waterfalls, I think you'll find that requires very little skill at all. I bet even a student could manage it.

Sky+'ing it now as mrs ravey wants to watch Crimewatch (well it's nice to see the family, isn't it?)  Twisted Evil

Off to see a preview showing of Gone Baby Gone tomorrow - will report back soon.

Gone Baby Gone 9/10

Now reading the reviews / write up of this film I wouldn't normally have gone to see it. But mrs ravey got free preview tickets for tonight and I'm glad we did.

Wonderfully shot, it's the dark and sometime harrowing story of the investigation into a child abduction, focusing on a private eye hired by the family to augment the police investigation. It was originally due for release last year, but postponed due to the Madeline McCann abduction.
At times there are all too real parrallels with the case of Shannon Matthews too.

It's not the easiest film to watch but I thought the script was fantastic and it was brilliantly acted and the cinematography is a joy.
If you get the chance go and see it.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls. 8/10.

Typical Indy! totally OTT! totally unbelievable! Brilliant.

scorpions
ants
poison darts
lead fridges
hostile natives
russians like man mountains
not to mention vines & waterfalls

And wasn't the end.....aaaaagggghhhhh

If you like Indy you will like this film. And I like the arc bit at the beginning. I need to see it again.

Very Happy

"Wanted" 9/10

Another stormer of an action blockbuster. Well worth a visit to the multiplex.

Has James McAvoy (formerly of Shameless) starred in a bad film yet?

The other Boleyn Girl 3/10. Wooden acting, gave a slightly different slant to the story as it concentrated on the relationship between the two sisters.

Bank Job 9/10. Never heard of it. Didn't expect to enjoy it. Mr NE1 wanted to watch it. Highly recommendable.

Cloverfield

9/10

Watched with high expectations and STILL thoroughly enjoyed it - brilliantly clever film (albeit with a bit of motion sickness now and again)

Local Hero 9.999999999 out of 10

Definately in the top 10 British films of all time, and certainly in my all time top ten list.

The Dark Knight 9/10

Awesome. The running time is a whopping 3 hours, but the time flies by.

Recommended. Although having seen it I'm a little surprised it got a 12A certificate.  Confused
