Loved listening to radio 4 when it was on Ben, he was a funny quick witted bloke.
And will be sadly missed.  Crying or Very sad

A fine fellow indeed. Back in the early eighties the then half2 was a big jazz fan. Theres a pub next to the train station called the station Tavern that used to have jazz bands on a Thursday night. She used to go there regularly and I went with her whenever Humphs was on.Humphs was a massive star in those circles yet he regularly appeared at the Station Tavern, playing to a packed full house of about three hundred. He was brilliant. Funny, charming  and a great musician. His other clarinet player was a cad and a bounder though as time and again he tried it on with my bird. Sadly we parted company years and years ago and she now lives with a clarinet player Evil or Very Mad .
