too right as well, its our national holiday and the government should respect that, and move one further and make it a bank Holiday, we have no real celebrations of our country here as apposed to the Yanks who have hundreds as well as the French who have Bastille day etc

I'm surprised the unelected sweaty sock control freak who lives there has allowed that.

Although, why the flag is seldom flown here is a bloody mystery to me - go almost anywhere abroad and they fly their flag with pride.

Might be something to do with "offending" all the non english people (who incidently wouldn't be offended) - but we' just won't in case they are  Rolling Eyes
