Home Information Packs? More like another stealth bloody tax.
Much of the info required is apparently covered in the surveyors report - but as it's not been done by an independent surveyor the building society will insist you get a seperate surveyors report....
The brother-in-law very nearly bought a house with a public footpath running through the back garden. The house was a new build and the builders just fenced in the garden area without bothering to get permission to move the path...fortunately it came to light in time. The solicitors advice was "Oh, it probably doesn't matter..." although they were oddly reluctant to put that in writing - try telling that to the local ramblers association once they found out, eh?. |
