Just my instinct, but I think it'll turn out to be just talk - like last year. At the end of the day Ken wants "silent" investors - people who will just hand him a pile of money and then have no more involvement or expectations from the club.
Since historically most people who have invested in a Ken Bates run business have ended up losing their investment, I don't see it happening.
Fortunately, we are doing well enough on the pitch for massive investment to be unnecessary for the time being, but the real questions will start being asked in the summer.
