Drove an hour and a half to watch Sydney FC play the Central Coast Mariners this evening. Arrived an hour before kick-off after meeting up with a mate over there and the game was called off 15 mins before kick-off because the pitch was supposedly to wet. It had been raining a lot but what a bunch of softies.

No, never gonna happen. A little bit of water won`t stop that, a nuclear war may do, depending if the pitch was in the blast zone. Other than that Play won`t be called off.

I beg to differ my friend Shocked . Football may be pretty on a hard flat pitch. In the days when men were men, they played in snow rain and shine. Rugby is as much affected by ground conditions as soccer.....It is just your lack of understanding of the game mate Very Happy  Very Happy  Cool

Pitch held up better than Wembleys though didnt it. About a millionth of the cost as well. Harrogate, a little bit of Surrey in Yorkshire

Laughing Nene Park was voted the best quality pitch outside the premiership a few years back, still at the same quality now, if a non league club can keep a fantastic pitch why cant they do it at a 90000 seater stadium thats only used every month or so
