Well, I've always quite admired Mark Webber - he seemed an alright sort of bloke and despite never driving one of the better cars has always ground out results and often finishes higher than his car merits.

Not any more though, after his shameful involvement in trying to get Lewis Hamilton docked points because one of his colleagues drove into the back of him.

Webber (in 2nd) wasn't watching Hamilton when they were behind the safety car and had to brake sharply to avoid illegally overtaking him. Webbers fault - he's experienced enough to know the rules and should have allowed for it.

Then novice Sebastian Vettel rear ended Webber - his fault for not keeping far enough behind in the treacherous conditions.

The Aussie said then of Vettel: “We have learned a very valuable lesson. When you bring in kids, they f*** up.” He said that live on TV as he made his way back to the pits after the collision took him and Vettel out of the race.

So the FOUR days later Red Bull and Toro Rosso complain about Hamilton, based soley on a video posted on You Tube?

Pathetic.

Except of course when you consider that Red Bull and Toro Rosso are in fact owned by the same person and are effectively one team running slightly different cars. And that Vettel would have secured Toro Rosso's first points of the season thus ensuring that they got a share of the TV money (tens of millions of pounds) as things stood. That couldn't have anything to do with it could it?

And then Spanish sleazeball Alonso crawls out of the woodwork to demand Hamilton is also stripped of the points - which I'm sure had nothing to do with his tenuous hold on the F1 drivers title...what a nice team mate he must be.

At least the FIA have finally seen sense and decided Hamilton doesn't have a case to answer.

Oh, and if that really is Lewis Hamilton in the car, why is he wearing Johnnie Walker's helmet?

Exactly - I reckon we must have been crushed by at least 10-12 points
