Chairman Ken Bates confirmed that the club has asked the Football Association to review the Football League's decision to impose a 15-point deduction on the club this season.
Writing in his programme notes ahead of Saturday's game, the chairman said: "Although it is nice to enjoy six straight league wins, it in no way reduces our determination to have the 15 points, which have been unlawfully deducted, restored.
"Following representations to the Football Association, the matter will be considered at the FA board meeting on Monday (September 24).
"Both Mr Sheepshanks (Ipswich Town) and Mr Mawhinney (the Football League president) are members of the board so they are entitled to attend but they will not be allowed to speak on the subject because of their conflict of interest.
"We are seeking, at the very least, an Independent Commission to review our case."
The chairman added in his programme column: "As I have said before whether you agree or disagree with the outcome of the Tevez case, at least it was made by an Independent Tribunal, not by 64 self-interested competitors."

It just shows that the FA are happy to pick on clubs that don't have financial clout. They bottled it against West Ham (who had money) to go against Sheff U (who didn't) and are now not even bothered about the Chelsea manager not being qualified.
I'd love to see us win the title and then burn the trophy and send the ashes of it to the FA and FL.
I hope Leeds take it to UEFA and they come down hard on the FA and FL.

. For the record, I care about Leeds United....The club....I do not give a flying shit about the FA, FL, Bates , Wise , Poyet etc. and their associated baggage (and there is a lot of it). Fuck 'em all. For me, it is all about the team on the pitch on match day.
