Was the East stand upper open ? |
No, but there were some areas not occupied. Part of the sout hstand was closed to act as a buffer between rival fans and quite a few in the JC and east were also empty. Getting better though. |

| My only issue with the opening of the ESU, is that if this run of wins begins to dwindle, then so will the fickle support. It could end up costing more to open the upper than turn people away. Well according to some Iv'e heard! |

If the good run continues (and I can't see why it shouldn't) I reckon Ken will have a dabble with opening the ESU for a few games - probably over the Christmas period.
We've got 'uddersfield at home on 9th Dec which will draw a big crowd and then we have Oldham on New Years Day which should be another bumper crowd for a (relatively) local game with few other attractions on the day other than the start of the DFS sale.
The big issue is cost - extra stewards, lighting, staff etc - will enough of the other games bring in a big enough crowd to warrant the extra cost?
As has been said, there are still seats available elsewhere in the ground (although a lot less than previously), so the finances would have to support it. |

| By not giving half the South Stand to away fans would put several hundred more on the gates.

Barcoders do this with the away fans.............they only get the 'Gods'

only trouble with having two sets of fanes in the same stand, but on top of one another is that one set chucks things or pisses on the other set.
Can cause more headaches than needed doing that |

Letter of complaint in t'YEP tonight about seating arrangements - specifically fans being told there are only full price or restricted view tickets left when they try to buy on the day, despite evidence suggesting otherwise when they are in the ground...and about giving half the South Stand to away fans (at £15/ticket) with the massive segregation area between the two sets of fans whilst only having £25 and £28 tickets on offer to home fans.
Still, from a business point of view it makes sense - if you want a cheap seat with easyjet or ryanair you book early, leave it until the last minute and you pay the full whack if there is anything left.
Why should Bates Ltd be any different? |

| I hope to get to as many games as i can after my birthday on the 6th of october. Dont have the time or money to go to any now as we are still sorting out the problems with our new house... i also need to persuade someone to come with me.
