| it'll never happen!! There would have to be massive, and I mean on the scale of the entire area redeveloped, much more than the present scheme for railtrack to even consider the new station. |

It'll not happen.
The Leeds-Wakefield line is already at capacity as practically everything heading south from Leeds uses it - trains to London, Sheffield, Birmingham, East Midlands, etc plus the local stoppers.
There was an article saying very much the same thing in t'YEP not so long ago. Which is funny how they've now printed this story.
Being a jaded old cynic, I might surmise that the developer is offering to "look into" building one as a way of getting the plans through knowing full well it won't happen...
Plus, what rail company has enough spare trains to put on a shuttle service to the stadium and back when there is a game on? Assume a full and standing 2-car train has room aboard for 300 close friends (including standing) you'd need at least 10 of them to cope with the numbers who currently use the bus wouldn't you?
Pipe dream I'm afraid. |

| A station would be great as i live next to Burley Park train station so it would make getting to matches easier

Maybe, but I don't remember that one. If there was I think it closed years ago! |
