Was going to post this next month but I reckon I ought to claim a bit of this September action.
Ronda (In Spain ravey ) was brilliant as was the rest of Andalucía. If you ever wondered where your Euro Taxes are going I can tell you its in Spain doing up old churches, cathedrals and Moorish Mosques. Pretty spectacular as well.
Had a bit of a scare in Seville. Went into a bar to watch them play Arsenal that was absolutely chocca with Seville fans. There was a slaughtered lamb moment when I had to shout "Dos Cerveza" across about 20 painted face fans dressed up like red n white Christmas trees. About 200 lads all stopped talking and looked at us. It was ok though. They said something and laughed and were genuinely very friendly as Spanish fans are. One asked me if I was an Arsenal fan . I told him I was Leeds which was a cue for some inquisition that I did not expect . But no one does do they
I’ll tell you what though. It’s about time these Johnny foreigners learnt how to Queue. There would be deaths over here if we carried on like they do. Loads of times I was waiting in line for a bus or some other reason and some twat would just walk in front of me . Now old Halfa here normally has the temperament of a monk when it comes to foreign travel but I swear I could have killed. There is nothing that winds me up more than people pushing in. Well except able bodied people parking in disabled spots. Oh and People who let Their dog crap on the streets oh and ----ok maybe about 3,000 other things but you get my point.
Also it was one of the few times I didn’t see any Leeds Shirts, sign of the times I suppose but at least I got to finally pick a Spanish team I can have as a favorite, Cadiz, Great Town and play in Leeds Colours, can’t wait till we play em in Europe soon
Any way it was a great trip, beautiful country, fine food, Full of well preserved culture and history, tremendous looking tottie and not a bleeding track suited cap wearing spitting idiot in sight.
