Baldy - I lived in QLD whn Wally lweis played for Wynnum Manly, Alf Langer was just a kid, and QLD league had teams suchs as brothers playing
I was there when the Bronco's formed with all the media fanfare and one eyed reporting. I also know Wayne Bennett personally - and for those reasons alone I will always despise them

Well that does'nt make much sense then, if you say you were there, when Bronco's were formed, I seem to remember all the negative and bad press from south of the Border, Queenslanders defend themsens and promote their 1st team in a new league for them, and you call it one eyed reporting, and even in the Bronco's early years and im sure Harry will back me up, if a Bronco was in front of the Judiciary, you could guarantee, it was gonna be a longer sentence handed out, than that for the same infraction by a player from a southern club, even after all the years of crap we were subjected to being beaten By NSW that had teams full of queenslanders in it, that is till the state of origin came in.
I often interracted with Wally(in those days I despised him ) even prior to him leaving Valleys to join Wynum, I'm a die hard Brisbane Souths former player/supporter, our players at the time we hammered wally and his lads in the Grand Final included the likes of Meninga, Belcher, Jackson(rip mate) Astill, Tronc, Meskell, Billy Johnstone, Cullen, Underwood, Vievers, Brown, Cass, Many a good night we had at Davies Park, you've just brought so many memories flooding back here 30 mill , teams of those days
were Redcliffe, Wests, Souths, Easts, Norths, Valleys, Wynum Manly, and the team I despised, Brothers (the bretheren) me brothers team, we both played grade football in those days, But I were better than him , neither of us made A grade though. 
30mill to say you despise Brisbane and give your reasons is fair enough as is your opinion, But to mention Benny in the same breath, as you know him personally, and lump him in with the reason is odd, You would'nt and could'nt find a more caring, passionate,gentle,loving person than him, he'd give you the clothes off his own back and go that extra mile, not yard to help you out ...

And dont get me started on Origin games - The best one I was at was when the Yellow Rain (XXXX cans came raining down at Lang Park)

Tis great reminiscing hey 30 mill,
You asked about Phil Cass, He was a classy winger come centre,great step and quick hands, but did'nt live up to his potential,as a footballer that is, But he puts on great magic shows now.
you speak of that yellow shower ( what a waste ) shoulda thrown Powers bitter instead, 1987 or 88 were'nt it, mick stone (say no more) one eyed new south welshman , as ref, well the twit should'nt have binned wally, well not in that part of the ground
Tis great to see you call it Lang Park, always will be to me as well, was a great members bar under main grandstand, Rissoles and chips before main game, and kids selling twist cup ice creams from them boxes they carried from around their necks, and I loved associating with the commoners in the outer, bar over there was really quick to get served and I wont comment on Sir Joh or his sidekick Big Russ(rip)
