Iron Man 8.5/10 - cracking action film and a fine return to form for Robert Downey Jr, surely one of Americas finest acting talents.
21 7/10 - good thriller if a little plodding in places. I'm told the book is a fantastic read._________________ The advert above is nowt to do with me!

Agreed - great film although it always felt as if there was something missing (which I can't put my finger on) - looking forward to number 2 |

Death Race - 8/10
The "new" one with Jason Statham and Lovejoy. Very good indeed for a relatively mindless action film
Mamma Mia - 3/10
mrs ravey put this one on at the weekend. Any good bits are good for all the wrong reasons. It does however score a couple of points for Pierce Brosnans appalling singing which well and truly buries any lingering memories of him playing a suave, sophisticated James Bond. The other point is for Julie Walters in depth, multi faceted and heartfelt portrayal of Julie Walters - again._________________ The advert above is nowt to do with me!

I Am Legend (HD) - 6/10.
Not bad by any means, but left me somewhat unmoved and unenthused. Oddly for such a recent film some of the special effects occasionally looked a bit ropey too.
Glad I didn't pay to see it at the cinema._________________ The advert above is nowt to do with me!

I have been watching a few older films recently
Diary of the Dead 7/10 - decent change to the usual Romero "Dead" films
Babe 8/10 - Heartwarming 
X Men 7/10 - good start to the trilogy
Big 8/10 - takes me back *sigh
The Goonies 8/10 (although not quite as good as I remember)
Not sure if I have posted this before but watched I am Legend again 10/10 UNTIL the infected "people" turn up at which point it becomes 6/10. |
