Mrs nlag bought a box of the Roses chocs at the weekend. Now my favourite was always the hazelnut whirl. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that this previously premium selection from said collection has been downgraded....Just like the Beeb Shocked No longer does this confection delight contain whole crispy nuts. No Shocked more like a few crumbs chipped off of an under roasted nut. The world is truly in decline all around me. A world where second or third best seems to be acceptable. Whatever next, bits of soggy nut in walnut whips?....And another thing, the mini bars of chocolate don't have proper paper wrapping on them like the big bars....Crappy little plastic things.....Poor play all round.

My dad is a former employee of Cadburys and he will readily tell you that they ain't as good as they used to be (back in the days when they had a depot on Lowfields Road).

The hazlenut whirl was always my favourite too and I can't believe thay've ruined it. Still, someone has to pay for all that money lost through the salmonella scare and the subsequent fine - shame it is going to be us consumers again.

So, no more Roses for me - it's Heroes all the way now. Cool

What are these Heroes things....? Is this the new Roses?.....Do the nutty sweets have real whole nut centres? Whatever next? The Quality Street toffee penny reduced to a 1/2 p? Half the fun was getting it stuck in the pallet of your mouth and dribbling.....Or was that just me? Embarassed

How many sandwiches do you need for an official picnic Confused

Is there a picnic etiquette that needs to be adhered to before venturing out with the kids Confused
