Love em or hate em...
They seem to have put a real spark into the players and the fans so far this season
To continue to bag them at this stage of the season, is, well its something I dont understand anyway - How could you not be happy the way the season on the pitch is panning out

Yes the squad was worse, or perhaps had simply been found out. Don't forget that we limped to the play offs after being in a great position to win automatic promotion with a dozen or so games left to go.
Despite getting to the play-offs the team was struggling with wins tending to come from a penalty or set play and with us creating very little in the way of chances. Last season saw the team continue in the same style. However it would appear several players thought they were better than they were (or perhaps management did) and it seems like fitness was neglected as they took us gaining promotion for granted.
Wise found himself coming into a difficult job, players he didn't want but no way to get rid of them. Sure a big name manager might have given the team a lift and got a few good results initially but the cancer was still at the club. Dropping down a division may be a good thing long term for Leeds in that we can rebuild and go forward gathering pace and improving rather than simply fighting against relegation again.

Nothing difficult to understand. I don't like the way they behave and represent the image of the club.

So Blackwell limped a poor squad to a whisker of promotion. Wise sprinted a poor squad into relegation.

and then Blackwell saw that same team limp to the bottom of the league before he was sacked.
Wise took a team at the bottom and kept them there. Hopefully now he is building a side that can rise again.

If you dont like the fact that we are competitive this year
If you dont like the fact the Wise has them fit
and up for it
If you dont like the fact we are playing reasonaly good fottball for a change
If you dont like the fact that we seem to have developed a "fupp you FL" attitude
If you dont like the fact our crowds are bigger than last year
If you dont like the the noise and the passion in the crowds this year
if you dont like the supposed "buzz" around town
See I do find it difficult to bag them this season - Then again

I suspect many many peoples attitudes to Wise will change if he gets promo back to the Prem!!
Then again, so many will be waiting in the wings to rip him apart if he fails to do so! I just don't understand the lack of faith in a manager of LUFC. I Don't see Wise as a thug, since he's been here. Still, he might as well be hung for a sheep than a lamb! |

Some people clearly have a problem understanding English. I don't like Wise, never have never will. I have already stated that improved results cannot be denied, and I never said that I was not happy with the team, results, performances this league season.
That does not mean that I have to like the people in charge, or condone their behaviour and continuos degradation of the image of the club. It is my opinion. It is a valid one. Others may feel as they wish.
I can sit it out. I was here before them and will be here after. In the mean time I want success on the field and decorum off of it.

Simon, I have been consistant on this matter since before his appointment at Leeds. My opinion will never change, and I have no intention of ripping into him if and when he fails, in the same way that I never ripped into Blackwell when he started to falter.
Many of us have individuals in the game that we cannot abide. Wise is such a person for me. Some people can't stand Alan Smith, and I can see the reason behind that. Personally, I don't mind him, despite what he said and did. Now that may put me in a minority, but it does not make me wrong, or right for that matter.

Thats fair enough and I wasn't refering to you par se. I suppose your comment of how he represents the club promted me to post what I did. I have to say that Wise's behaviour has been cracking since taking over at ER!! |

Cannot dispute upturn in results and on pitch efforts. And Wise and Poyet must take some credit for that....But I still can't stand him.
I think Wise has been sent from the dugout twice, Poyet once. That and a few handbags a la Blackwell and Carver. So there are some instances of bad behaviour. Like said, I back the team, have never and will never boo or chant against team or staff....

Well done, your judging the man on a stupid comment. Yes we all know he should have kept his gob shut. You never said anything you later regretted? If not, I salute you as lone example!! |

Wise's handling of the situation he inherited last season was generally not great. He said stupid things, failed to turn things round and generally concentrated too much on getting rid of people he didn't trust. Having said that, he's handled the summer as well as possibly could under the circumstances and while I think the results flatter us somewhat he has instilled a great team spirit and positive outlook in the players, which is transferring to the fans. I also have to give him some credit for sticking with Kandol - a player most of us thought simply not up to the job on the evidence of last season's performances.
He still has work to do though. There is no real cover up front, the laft side in general is a problem and the midfiled never seems to operate as a unit. which puts a lot of pressure on the defence.
As for Bates, my opinion of his has plummeted to new depths, which I didn't think possible.

Whereas we are not winning games in a convincing manner I am very impressed with the team spirit, it is fantastic. We are playing the full 90 minutes and are winning games that last season we would have lost.
I admit to been totally anti-Wise but he is winning me over.
