It depends what you have been watching Bron.
Essentially Viacom are trying to establish that YouTube have been permitting the uplading of copyrighted material - films, music videos, TV shows, etc, which people are then logging on an watching free.
It will no doubt be argued that doing so has deprived the copyright holders of profits. Viacom will then no doubt press for punitive damages against Google, who own YouTube.
Whilst it is technically possible that Viacom could identify every single person who has logged on through either their login details or IP address along with what they've watched, I can't see that they would sue individuals for watching something - the sheer economics would be prohibitive.
This is more a case of "mines bigger than yours" in corporate America.
