When should Grayson be sacked? If Leeds are not in the top two by Christmas, should Grayson be sacked?
If so, why so?
If not, why not?

It really depends on how things are going.
If we had bad luck with injuries or played well without getting the best results then maybe not. OTOH if the team is playing badly and the players have lost faith in the manager - as happened with McAllister - then he'll be gone.
If there's one thing that can be said about Bates it is this: he has little patience with managers who don't deliver, no matter how tough the task.

Only on a Leeds forum would we be discussing, in pre-season, when to sack the manager.

As long as we are in League One, this will plague every manager every year.
...and in fairness the managers know this when they sign on: they must win promotion or they will get sacked. If they want job security or lots of time to build a squad at this level they should look for employers with a lower profile.
