Tonight's MOTMAlthough Beckford got the shampoo for his 2 goals, Freedman really was in a different class to the other players out there - Palace must be very good for him not to get a game although his age will go against him.
I thought we played some quality footie in the first half and towards the end of the 2nd and well deserved the win (Mooney THANK YOU!)
As has been said it's shit or bust now

Freedman was MOTM without a doubt....A class above the rest.

from what I saw Kenton deserves a special mention (although i only saw half an hour of the second half and listened to the rest) and Bradley ran his socks off

I thought Freedman looked quality - good movement and awareness
Glad to see Beckford scoring again
Kilkenny had several moments of good play (although he went missing for the first 20 minutes of the second half)
Michalik looked awful - just kept hoofing the ball
Both fullbacks looked good
Howson & Prutton played well
Other midfielder played well (name escapes me )
I though 1st half and last 20 minutes we actually looked like a good team (especially against an in form Walsall)
Renewed optimism (until the next game )

We just looked a better balanced side even with Kilkenny on the right. Occasionally he left the option vacant when he drifted to center and even left but we can forgive him that. Can only endorse whats been said about Freedman, different class and good to see him talking to Beckford about his runs off the ball.
Thought Kenton put in the best full back performance of the season but how on earth can anyone think Ludo is Prem. Hes ok at this level and he and Rui should be unbeatable in this league. On paper anyhow, but alas………………
Great to see Dougy put in an appearance and good to see his lay off hasn’t affected his pace . A big boo hiss to the tossers who bood Tres when he came on as well . Only a small minority but they really should stay at home.
Not the time to be critical but Beckfords touch and control were put into perspective alongside Freedmans artistry.
To be Honest I thought Walsall contributed to their own downfall. The teams who have beaten us, at home especially are the ones who have come at us with a 4-4-2. They seemed to leave the loan skinhead up front and tried to pack the midfield. It’s a credit to our Midfield that we out battled them and I thought that was where we won the game.
