I could go into detail about what went wrong and why, but ultimately Donny were the better team. No point blaming the Football League, Ken Bates or Dennis Wise. None of that counted for shit. We dominated the second half with no end product, with Freedman gone we had no one to provide that, as freeds can pull something out of nothing. As for the rest - our possession improved only because we kept passing the ball square and backwards for five minutes before hoofing it hopefully upfield. Donny were a class above. They created openings even if they only scored one goal. We created nothing - all our efforts on goal were long range hit and hope efforts. We did not get behind their defence once. And God alone knows how Beckford has scored so many goals - his shooting is so weak its unbelievable.
