The season starts in 3 hours....(at the time of posting), we've had a generally good pre-season and we haven't lost on the opening day for 19 years.
So where is everyone..?

Same old story... heart-in-mouth performance against relatively weak opposition... Beckford to the rescue... Bates interview full of bull...

I'll take it. We need to gel, and kill teams off when we are on top. Hopefully that will come as the team get used to one and other.

And it's now 20 years since we lost on the opening day of a season.

Only three new outfield players, two of those in defence. 'Need time to gel' is a tried and tested excuse for a slow start, but I don't buy it this time around.
What we lack is urgency, drive and determination, not to mention someone with a cool, inventive mind in midfield. When something isn't working, we just can't change tack.
But... one game is too soon to start panicking. It would have been nice to see some sign of early improvement, that's all.

You cant win the League in Ausguest but you can certainly lose it. I personally dont care if it was the worst game of football ever as long as we won
