The Kopyright Liberation FrontAKA The KLF, The Jams and The Timelords.
What a fantastic bunch of musicians they were, yet hardly anyone remembers them. The public can be so fickle.
This remains their finest work http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HwtSdJaPCSI&feature=related stick with it as it seamlessly merges into the anthem of the North at about 2:25 mins and watch the hairs on the back of your neck stand up (The North Will Rise Again)
It even surpasses the time they burnt a million quid live on Channel 4 just to see what reaction they'd get

Brilliant. I certainly haven’t forgotten about them. Them and a few others filled that post house pre Brit Pop gap. I still can’t believe the million quid stunt though and often think if it was true do they regret it? was it justified

Well they were interviewed a few years afterwards and they did admit that they could have probably found a better use for the money, but that it was definately burnt. I don't think they anticipated the backlash from certain sections regarding it, but art is art...
