The Brit AwardsAnyone else watch it? I thought it was the best in years, helped obviously by the presence of Kylie and by the fact that I liked most of the winners.
And I thought it highly amusing that Coldplay won ****-all.
Duffy was well worth her 3 Brits (if you haven't got Rockferry, I highly recommend it).
In fact the only dodgy part of the night was the duet between The Ting Tings and Estelle. Oh dear.
Finally, the Pet Shop Boys award for Outstanding Contribution To Music was well worth it - what a back catalogue they have. And amazingly I still know all the words to West End Girls...

i really enjoyed it. thought it less amusing that coldplay won **** all (i quite like them - each to their own), highly boring that duffy won three awards (i quite like her song, but i think she has a weird voice).
personally thought the dodgy moment of the night was take that's glasses wtf was that all about?
the PSBs might have been great, i only knew about two of the songs so got a bit bored by their performance.

Annd I said it was aimed at you where?
I just find it interesting in any web site that music, art, in fact owt, is always at the subjectivity of the person. This is no different, is it?
Your being subjective aren't you? OR does it not count cos you put "it's personal"?

The best thing about this year's Brits was that Iron Maiden finally got some recognition.
As for Duffy..whoever told her she could sing should be fucking shot..have you heard her in that Coke advert when she's twatting about on the bicycle? The first time I heard it I thought it was a Peter Kay spoof of her! Shocking!

Hmmm....I quite like Duffy (the album is a belter) but that Coke advert sounds like she's been on the helium and is riding down a cobbled street on that damn bike....
