Skybets's odds on arbitration result

Ok i pinched this from elsewhere but thought it might provide a good talking point on here.

So the Odds are that we will get 11-15 points back  Razz

I think the date of the meeting is significant and Weasel has commented about this on another forum - but 3 games will be left by the time this is done and I think that the FL will be looking to give just the right amount of points back so that it makes no odds whatsoever otherwise whichever way they turn they will get hit from a different direction (i.e. the team that misses out on promotion / playoffs etc) ...... so if a 9 point "refund" makes no odds to playoffs / promotion you can bet your hat on those being offered back

My gut feeling is that it will be a "moral" victory for Bates with no effect on our season but he will spout on about it for the next 10 years. I hope I'm proved wrong and the points are given back and they prove significant

Just looked and the favourite now seems to be  "6-10". Correct me if I'm wrong, but those odds are set by the people betting, aren't they? i.e. It really depends on what people are betting on there - so if a load of ultra-optimistic Leeds fans bet on "11-15", the odds will shorten for that outcome? In which case, the odds aren't worth the cyberspace they're printed on really.

I think that boxy has pretty much hit the nail on the head anyway - moral victory at best.
