really quieti cannot believe how quiet this place is at the moment.
i thought this place would be buzzing with the start the team has had to the season.
i might be speaking out of turn here, but seen nothing of cockney and boxy recently as well as others.

There is a thread running on this subject in the Staff Room.
What is very clear, and what does not work, is random spamming of other Leeds United sites. We do not like people spamming on here, so we should not condone doing similar.
Many, if not most of the poster on here came across as a result of contact with existing members. Whilst this may not be the fastest method of growth, it does seem to have attracted some well informed posters.
The subject of growth is being discussed. More on this when decisions have been made.

Seriously though, I think it's like NE1 says - we've just had a cracking bank holiday weekend weatherwise, so folk will have been doing proper summer things (like sitting in traffic jams, cremating poor quality burgers and drinking beer) rather than sitting over a computer. Probably the last chance we'll get for that this year now...
I'm busy as fcuk with work AND we've got the builders in  so I'm not my usual posting self, for which I apologise most sincerely folks.

I have been busy this week at work and I am on call from friday for a week so may not be on much next week.
Don`t worry about the number of posters currently on here, the site will grow without spamming, Nlag has a master plan.

Still think that making this a sign in only Forum will get more members there are always folks looking in as guests. If they have to sign in then they may just post as well. Just a thought

F*** me, the state the house has been left in (we expected some disruption, but didn't expect to spend 90 minutes tidying up and sorting out shite they'd left every night when we got in from 12 hour days).
And they'd unplugged my Stella fridge and NOT plugged it back in so it had defrosted all over the kitchen floor...
Another 4-6 weeks of this? Stroll on.

and the Guests are normally given bots or google status, as I say Pat just an idea.

I agree with the touting plasterer . Its good fun on here with no dickeads. For what its worth I think you should stick with whatever quality control process you have. People might get put off if they think its elitist but we don’t want cowards on here anyway

For what it is worth, that is how I feel. No problems that it is not a post a minute, or a post an hour. IMO it is a decent forum, where posters in the main show respect to one and other, and some fun on the way.

I think the forum is one of the best going at the moment , but still think with only 68 registered members its not enough !!
I understand qaulity over qauntity makes for a better board, but there needs to be fine balance of members to make it even better than it is today.
This is just my little humble opinion i have over here in Thailand.

Thats the hard part, getting that right, One good thing though is that the number that actually post regularly, compared to the amount registered is really quite good, there are certain forums that have in excess of 250 reg'd members, and their regular posters could be added up on 2 hands.

Wouldn't work, Phil. As you well know we've had countless users who have registered only to log in for more than a week after having signed up and still not troubled the scorers. Hence our "7 day" rule. Check out the Danish Sponge's site for an abundance of registered users that have signed up and never posted. Some have been members for years and prove beyond doubt that numbers mean nothing if people aren't posting.
Quality over quantity every time..
