Don't forget who appears in the iconic photo at the top of Everest either - Sherpa Tensing. Lesser men would have insisted on the camera being pointed at them after such an achievement.
Sir John Harvey-Jones (RIP) died yesterday too.

He did but unfortunately Sherpa Tensing had never seen a camera before and had no idea how to use it (and I imagine that after climbing everest the last thing Hillary wanted to do was give him a camera lesson )
