The Pontefract-born ace, 21, has been rewarded for his impressive form in the second-half of last season when he became a permanent fixture in the left-back berth, beating off competition from Alan Sheehan and Aidy White. Whites boss Simon Grayson said: "It's something that we spoke about throughout over the summer. He did ever so well when he came into the team, he had one year left on his contract and we've decided to get negotiations done over the summer. "Ben is a Leeds lad and I know he's delighted to be here, but it's about being good enough to be part of the team and the squad." |

Splendid, mindst it simply means Villa/Everton/Spurts etc would have to pay us more money when they realise their own Academies aren't producing |

Parker's a long way from Premiership standard anyway, but it's good news if the club are prepared to invest in him rather than writing him off at 21, which we've done with other players. If he keeps improving he might even be good enough should we eventually get promotion to the Championship. |
