page fitwhy does on the page fit my screen on the index but when reading posts it doesn't fit and I have to keep moving the page along to read the end of the lines?

Have you tried changing your screen resolution?
I'm working on 1280 x 1024 and the site looks fine.

Im with NE1 on this, I've said before to you CW, before someone stuffed banner up, no names mentioned  , that when you got it back on that this was happening, am sure other banner didnt go right along top of page, there was room either side of it, and most people dont use 1024x1280....cos some of us didnt eat carrots growin up

The banner is exactly the same size as the old one you deleted..honest..!!
Nobody else has mentioned this problem and the banner has been up for weeks now. Maybe it's only you partially-sighted people that are being affected..?!

Weird the rest of the site is too big for my screen and yet this thread fits perfectly

If a thread includes a post that contains, for example, an image that is very large, it will cause some people to have to use side-ways scroll bars to navigate their way through that particular thread, because threads will always expand to accomodate the largest post and all that it contains.
The fact that Boxy can view this thread without any hindrance suggests it's not the site that is the problem, merely some threads that cause some problems to some users. Similarly, Bron can see the index in full, but some (all?) threads appear to cause her to have to use side-ways scroll bars.
As I've said before, I have never needed to use side-ways scroll bars to navigate around EL, but it would appear that I can thank my eyesight for this..!!

"Offending" avatars re-sized, so all should be OK now with the page-sizing problems. However, please let me know if it's not the case and I will look at it again.
