Does that make it true?
Surely the first three were equally unbelievable, its just you are viewing the last installment with older eyes and a wiser mind?

Good film, but too many cheesy parts, and Ravey, if you didn't find bits of it tooooo cheesy (beinga ble to swing through the forest on vines having never done before, being able to survive falls down large waterfalls) then I pronounce you a numbskull |
Actually last time I was in the rainforest I tried the swinging from the vines thing and found it surprisingly easy.
And as for being swept over huge waterfalls, I think you'll find that requires very little skill at all. I bet even a student could manage it.

Sky+'ing it now as mrs ravey wants to watch Crimewatch (well it's nice to see the family, isn't it?)
Off to see a preview showing of Gone Baby Gone tomorrow - will report back soon.

Gone Baby Gone 9/10
Now reading the reviews / write up of this film I wouldn't normally have gone to see it. But mrs ravey got free preview tickets for tonight and I'm glad we did.
Wonderfully shot, it's the dark and sometime harrowing story of the investigation into a child abduction, focusing on a private eye hired by the family to augment the police investigation. It was originally due for release last year, but postponed due to the Madeline McCann abduction.
At times there are all too real parrallels with the case of Shannon Matthews too.
It's not the easiest film to watch but I thought the script was fantastic and it was brilliantly acted and the cinematography is a joy.
If you get the chance go and see it.

"Wanted" 9/10
Another stormer of an action blockbuster. Well worth a visit to the multiplex.
Has James McAvoy (formerly of Shameless) starred in a bad film yet?

The other Boleyn Girl 3/10. Wooden acting, gave a slightly different slant to the story as it concentrated on the relationship between the two sisters.
Bank Job 9/10. Never heard of it. Didn't expect to enjoy it. Mr NE1 wanted to watch it. Highly recommendable.

That is a good film. Did you know the space ship when it appears at then end is actually the lights of Los Angeles filmed one night and then turned upside down to create the effect? Watch it again and you can see cars driving around.

Son of Rambow 6/10 - not as good as it looked on the trailer
In Bruges 8/10 - never heard of it but it looked good in blockbuster. Colin Farrell - always good eye candy, but my his eyebrows have grown and the bloke who played Mad Eye Moody in Harry Potter. Film 4. Quite bizarre, dark and amusing!

Tropic Thunder 7.5/10
Good, but not great like I was hoping. This film has had some very good reviews and has a stellar cast (Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, Tom Cruise, Nick Nolte) and some genuinely laugh out loud hilarious moments, but just didn't consistently hit the high spots I'd hoped for.
Definately worth a look though if you're down the multiplex. Make sure you get there early though as the film starts with some very funny spoof trailers.
We saw this at the Showcase as this was the only place where the show times fitted in with our plans - we normally go to the Vue on Kirkstall Rd or the Cineworld at Cas Vegas. I must say by comparison that the Showcase is a bit tatty and certainly isn't cleaned between performances (well it wasn't today) and the seats aren't as good as the other cinemas either.

Wall.E
Very good - better than you'd think. Had some initelligent points well made and the artwork gets better all the time. Much better than most of this genre, tho Shrek still wins hands down tho that was a comedy as such whereas Wall.E isnt a comedy in its own right
Highly recommended
