My dad & me (very sad).........don't read on if you don't want to cry, I am crying as I type.
I may not post much in the weeks to come. You may remember I wanted Barnsley to get to the cup final as my dad was unwell. Well this cup final will be his last. We found out on Thursday that he has terminal cancer and we have days/weeks together. (Thursday as you can imagine was not one of my best days in my life).
I will be spending as much time with him as he will let me (grumpy old Yorkshireman - doesn't want a fuss). First aim is cup final day....then play off final day (I won't be going to Wembley but Leeds had better be),...then his birthday 30/5....then my parents wedding anniversary 7/6 and after that who knows..............
I will keep posting & reading as this will be my relief. I am in bits, bear with me. Thanks.

Bron - Savour as many moments with him as you can
I know that as a proud yorkshireman your Dad will NOT want the fuss - but try your best to persuade him that things are his idea and try to fulfil any things he wishes he had done but never got around to doing
I don't know how old he is but try to spend as much time as you can and make as many of his days / weeks / months finish with a smile on his face

Bron, never met you but I feel like Iv'e known you for years. So sorry to hear of your news. I lost my dad just before xmas last year and it's been hard. Chin up and my thoughts are with you and your family at this time..

Big hug from me Bron, you know that I will be thinking of you and your dad and that the time you have left is precious. Post when you can, and don`t worry about us, we are all ugly enough [some more than others, no names mentioned  ] to look after ourselves.
