With Delph away and nobody likely to be an adequate 1:1 replacement, the need turns to a holding grunt-work midfielder

We have sufficient flair here atm with kilkenny and Howson (not Delph potential, I agree, but still way above most in this league) so getting Doyle as a Foyle (see what I did there) makes a certain amount of sense
