Listened to the game via LUTV and we sounded poor, watched a delayed broadcast on Pay TV here later on and we looked worse than we sounded. We are dead set luck to still be in the cup.
I know we rested a few players but for the most part that was our first choice start team. Maybe they were told it was no big deal whether they won or not but that was a very disappointing performance.

didn't listen or watch (I really didn't care, I preferred to spend time with Mr NE1 debating tudor England and the decisions of Elizabeth I)
I was wondering, did either team want to win? Did Leeds really want to go through into next round and did Hereford see a 'pay day' replay at ER?

Hereford certainly wanted to win and they very nearly did.

Apart from a 20 minute period in the first half, when we got the ball down and passed, Hereford were the better team. They worked harder, closed down and disrupted shape and rhythm. Hereford had a good penalty shout turned down, hit the post, and should have scored at the end. Ankergren, whilst undoubtedly a good shot stopper, looks dubious in the air all to often imo.
All in all, we were awful. We live to fight another day by luck and poor finishing. I have read and heard the excuses (players taken ill, travelled miles, 3 games (like Hereford)etc.) but we have a squad, and this is when a squad like ours should come show its relative class.

maybe Spurs knew something we didn't when they took Gus

To be honest I don't think we really have a big squad. It is the first XI and then people not good enough to get in. Okay Parker and Howson look like they have a bit of potential but the rest of the reserves/youngsters seem very ordinary.
All in all I suppose look on the bright side we are still in the cup, we have a home game which will generate more money than an away match to any team we could get in rounds 1 or 2 and we (or Bates ) have pocketed the sky money.

Thinking about it I don’t think we ought to be too hard on the lads. Carlisle to Bournemouth to Hereford in seven days is the length and breadth of the country. Actually suprised the league didnt throw Gillingham in on Monday as well. Even with flying it doesn’t leave a lot of training or other quality team time. Reckon they will all enjoy the rest this weekend.

yeah but inbetween they have to have time to play golf and play station
no doubt in terms of 'working hours' the travel time counts towards the working week.
add on another 9 hours for games ( warm up , play, half time, cool down) and that doesn't leave a lot of working time, in fact they probably worked overtime and hence that left little time for training!

OK so we drew with a lower league side in the cup... not like its not happened before, no need to panic, we havent suddenly become shite since tuesday and we're all forgetting we beat Bournmouth then. So lets just win the replay, let them have their money spinning day and look forward to Swindon
