Its Harry v Baldy in the A-League semi finalsFour teams entered the last round of the A-League this weekend separated only by goal difference. In order; Queensland, Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle.
Wins for the Central Coast and Newcastle saw them finish first and second respectively, Sydney ended third after a draw with Melbourne while Queensland slipped to fourth after losing to Adelaide.
So over the next two weekends Central Coast will play Newcastle in a two-legged semi and Sydney and Queensland will do likewise. The winner of the Central Coast - Newcastle tie will go straight into the grand final while the loser will play the winner of the Sydney - Queensland tie.
So on Friday night Sydney host Queensland (should have been the other way around but due to a clash with a Police concert, the two legs have been switched).
Baldy have you any plans to come down South?

Honours even after a goalless first leg in Sydney. Queensland have got a good draw away from home, but Sydney know that a score-draw in the second leg in Queensland will see them through to the next stage.
So much for the positive...now onto the match.
Actually the less said the better. It was truly awful from both teams. Inept passing, terrible ball control and pathetic attempts on goal. Queensland played the sweeter and prettier build up football but a combination of poor games from their young guns Zullo and Kruse and the usual ineptitude from Reinaldo and Marcinho saw their play collapse time and time again in the last third of the field before they had a chance to threaten the Sydney goal.
Sydney were abysmally poor but had the two best goal scoring chances which unfortunately fell to the clueless Alex 'I'm so one-footed that you could amputate my right leg and it wouldn't affect my play' Brosque who stuffed them both up. Then too the shock of both myself and the couple of fans seated around me...the huge block of Sydney fans broke into a chorus of 'we want Patrick', our Brazilian on the bench. Now that would be the equivalent of shouting 'we want Ricketts even though his legs are broken', because he'd be just as effective. Patrick came on and did his usual imitation of a chicken with no head..or feet..or wings..or a brain..or anything else for that matter. The only bright spark in Sydney's performance was Juninho.
An awful game and a shocking advertisement for the A-League. Pim Verbeek the new Australia coach criticised the standard of the competition earlier this week and was angrily renounced by Sydney coach John Kosmina...well I think I know who was correct in that debate.

Theres 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back
Qld had a good kepper, defence and midfield, but we could still be playing now 14 hrs later and they still wouldnt have scored
Sydney were pish, absolute pish, barr Juninho. However our gold medal prospects at Beijing's diving pool this year look good!!
Be honest, you guys were so lucky Melbourne Victory left its run too late - would have slaughtered both sides
