Have to (sort of) agree with the above sentiment (not the arse bleeding  ) - financially we "might" be more stable unfortunately we never seem to find out (lets not forget that we were told we would be debt free and THEN went into Administration) - and also Bates does this for HIMSELF not Leeds - if you think he "cares" about Leeds then I personally think you are wide of the mark - the whole 15 points was created by Bates manufacturing the sale of the club BACK to himself (which meant we did not have a valid CVA) and broke the FL rules (albeit a rule that had no "penalty" attached to it) - he thought he had found a loophole and was wrong and as a result we suffered. The argument was that the FL "made up" the penalty points deduction and that there was NO PENALTY INSTRUCTIONS prior to that for what we did - the arbitration panel up held that "law" and I assume this will now set a precedent moving forward.
Whether you think we are "better off" with Bates is entirely your opinion but the sooner that man leaves the better (IMHO)

We had never been as low as this division until Bates.
We had never gone in to liquidation until Bates.
We had never suffered a points deduction until Bates.
We had never been lied to so many times by a Leeds United chairman until Bates.
We had never had our name dragged through the mud as many times until Bates.
We had never been hated quite as much by other clubs until Bates.
Someone remind what exactly it is we're meant to be grateful to him for?

If context means Anti Bates then yes there is aguments against. We were nearly relegated under Revie / Silver back in the early 60's, so close, yet YES, we pulled away! Same position as now, no money etc, lying fu*ker in charge etc etc.
We have never been liquidated, yet financially, the club is so much better of than pre Bates. Ridsdale, imho is the biggest lying idiot ever to hold the reigns of ER and LUAFC. Because of that man we are in this position. Had he had the financial skill of a normal person we wouldn't have been 125MILLION in debt and unable to pay it back cos we didn't even own our own fu*king players.
Like I said, i'm NOT a bates fan, but due to his tenacity we ARE financially stronger than majority of teams in ANY league!! The Play off final is withing our grasp and if we go up then the financial rewards are massive, much more than being champions.
It is now apparent that Bates didn't tell us the truth about the 15 points etc. However, he has ALWAYS maintained that he was railroaded to be allowed to get the Golden share back. I cannot see the lies being anything other than that, there would be NOTHING in it for him surely.

AW - I can't see how you can agree with him that he was "railroaded" into accepting the points deduction - HE REQUESTED the points deduction as a COMPROMISE to being relegated to League 2 - so the FL actually did HIM a FAVOUR by agreeing to it - i know that doesn't make great reading as a Leeds fan but thats how I interpret the minutes that came out of the meeting
It has left Bates with EGG on his face as he has been talking bollox - the only "railroading" that I can see is that it couldn't be challenged (which in the end turned out to be correct - as OUR solicitor fucking signed a fucking legal document saying we wouldn't seek an appeal - and this guy is still working for us - fuck me  ) - it was either -15 points, League 2 or Liquidation and out of existence as a football club
