How are Notts County 'more attractive'?http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/f.../teams/n/notts_county/8082539.stm
Notts County look set to be taken over by a Middle Eastern consortium in a multi-million pound deal.
Munto Finance Ltd says it has agreed to buy the Magpies and wants complete control of the League Two club.
However, the Notts County Supporters' Trust, the club's majority shareholder, has yet to sanction the deal.
Magpies chairman John Armstrong-Holmes told BBC East Midlands Today: "Subject to shareholders' agreement, the deal could be completed in a few weeks."
The group is owned by several businessmen in the Middle East and two of them, Peter Trembling and Peter Willett have joined the club's board.
Armstrong-Holmes added: "This is probably the most historic deal in the 147-year history of this football club.
"At a special meeting on Tuesday, the board discussed the proposal from Munto which was accompanied by proof of funds and unanimously agreed to recommend its acceptance to all shareholders.
"Trembling and Willett were appointed to the board with immediate effect to assist in the process."
Nottingham-born Trembling was recently commercial director at Premier League side Everton, while Willett is based in the Middle East overseeing the worldwide property investments of the Al Thani Investment Group.
Reported on 5live that County are the 'most attractive prospect for a takeover outside the top flight'???? How does that work then?
