Given when it happened I can only assume he was letting Eduardo know he'd be keeping an eye on him.
It's not unknown to have a "committed" tackle or two early on in a game if you're up against someone who's more talented than you and quite likely to make a muppet of you for the next 90 minutes, but this goes way beyond what is acceptable.

If there is any semblance of justice left in this rotten league, Taylor should be banned for at least as long as Eduardo is out of the game.
A 3 match ban here is simply not adequate.

Just watched it myself in slow motion and i feel really sick now.
Going in with studs showing like that is an offence that should carry at least 10 matches.
