Global WarmingThe view outside my window this morning suggests that Global Warming is a load of bollocks, designed to part us from yet more taxes, as did the walk to the paper shop.
The view at 6am even more so...

Its quite simple really. Warming melts the ice cap and this melting iced water dilutes with cold water the warm gulf streams that keep our climate moderate and hence make us colder.
The big problem with the global warming issue is information and trust. It is a sad indictment on the world leaders that they are not trusted to tell the truth or share accurate information. We are simply not given enough reliable information to make any judgments. Such is the record of lies mistruths, spin and deceit we simply can not believe what the likes of Blair, Bush and Brown say.
So called independent scientist have also consistently been discredited due to their collaboration with business in producing scientific evidence so very often they too can not be believed.
It gets so you have to go and trust your own instincts. My own is that the Earth is reasonably self containing organic body. Like any other body if you destroy its lungs and pump enough shit into it, it closes down.
Personally I think the mass de forestation of the planet due to atmospheric poisoning and to make way for meat producing grazing is destroying its breathing apparatus. I also think that to be in denial of the consequences of mass unregulated poisonous emissions is a little blasé to say the least. Put them both together and I find it impossible to ignore that we are affecting the Planets well being.

Spot on 30Mill, and if anyone has a few £k or $k spare, get your money into large mining interests such as RTZ, BHP.....The Chinese market is, according to many market analysts, expected to create some mega mining co's through mergers.

The entire Australian economy and the strength of the Aussie dollar (usually around 40p now at 44 - 45p) is due wholey and solely to the fact that the "Big Australian" BHP and the resource sector is BOOMING with sales purely to China

We used to have a coal mining industry here until Thatcher and Scargill consipred to destroy it. There is still hundreds of years worth of coal underground.
Yet for some reason it is apparently cheaper to ship coal in from Poland, China or Australia rather than dig it out of the ground next to the power stations of the Aire Valley...

We used to produce seasonal soft fruits for the whole nation, and hops for the brewing undustries, but our government told us we had to be in the Common Market, and they in turn told us our apples were too big, or too small or too scarred, or too tasty and juicey, and that we had to stock our shops with their shitty Golden Delicious instead.

| Quote: | THE planet Earth has dismissed claims it is in danger from global warming, stressing the worst that could happen is the extinction of the human race.
'If you don't mind, I've got some orbiting to do'The Earth spoke out after a series of books, television programmes and environmental campaigns urged people to do everything in their power to 'Save the Planet'.
Earth, 4,000,000,000, said last night: "I'll be absolutely fine, seriously. I might get a bit warmer and a bit wetter, but to be honest, that actually sounds quite nice.
"Try living through an ice age. Pardon my French, but it's absolutely fucking freezing."
The planet, based 93 million miles from the Sun, said it was 'sick and tired' of being drawn into arguments about human behaviour.
"Look, I'm just a planet doing its thing, alright? If you want to live on me, that's your business, but I've got important planet stuff to do, okay?
"Try being in elliptical orbit for five minutes, or balancing your gravitational pull with a medium-sized moon. Let me assure you, it's no fucking picnic."
The planet said environmental campaigners should change their slogan from 'Save the Planet' to something more relevant such as 'Save Your Sorry Arse'.
Earth added: "Okay, so there may come a time when, for a variety of reasons, I am no longer able to support pandas, polar bears, and humans, but you know what? Life goes on.
"Who knows, I might end up being a haven for toads." |

Very under-reported this last week is the news that global temperatures are set to cool by 1.5 degrees due to the end of a cycle of solar activity, that Danish and Russian scientists stated several years ago was responsible for the recent warming of the planet.
Where has this news come from? Our very own government funded Met Office.
Of course a natural cycle isn't anywhere near as taxable as all those nasty cars though is it?
Like the millenium bug before it, another big fat con.
