England squad?what no comment about the England squad?
So what do you think of Capellos' decision re: Beckham.
I think he has made the right decision - its a friendly, we need to try new players. So much is talked about about being 'match fit' and by no stretch of the imagination can Beckham be match fit.
We were watching Sky news I think it was. There was an england supporter being interviewed who came out with a classic relating to 100 caps!
Football isn't about sentiment, its game. If you want Beckham to get 100 caps you might as well bring back Gary Linekar to get another goal!!

Don't think anyone should get into the squad on sentiment or reputation - you get to play for england because you are the best in your position / best in the system in your position that the manager wants to play / fit to play - otherwise go bollocks
If he was so serious about playing international football he shouldn't have fooked off to the USA at the age of 32
