Doll thing on tvThere was a program on telly last night.....I think I did not miss the point.....But people were buying dolls and treating them like real babies?.....Can someone explain ?

I saw last half hr of itt!! Very wierd indeed. The women spending over £200 on clothes for a doll needs sectioning!! Very sad indeed.

I think one went yto America to collect a doll too, with clothes and prams. Another lady was trying to replace her grandson.....Sad but mad

Yes she did and then spent time bonding with it!! WTF is that all about. She already had about 8 dolls.

I thought I had dreamed some of it. Woke up on the sofa and Mrs Nlag was watching......That woman was trying to replace her grandson who had gone to NZ with a doll?.....I got that?......

Did you see the part where she showed her grandson the doll via webcam and he called her a nutter!! Her husband didn't like the doll.

It was on here,  I went to bed at 11pm and the mrs was looking at a website that featured nothing else and saying that she would like one. As ravey said, not right in the fucking head. She gets one, I exit stage left pronto.

clearly the people are trying to replace something missing in their lives and should be given the chance to do what ever makes them feel happy.
However when it clearly verges on the point of living in cloud cuckoo land then it is time to give them help.

The question is why make a TV show about it and how did they come up with the idea?
Did some producer think - 'hey I wonder if there are people who treat dolls like human beings?...let's make a show about it'
How did anyone find out about these people?
