DohertyLooks like getting banged up again. Such a shame. H and C etc are awful drugs, and so addictive. It is often too easy to say serves 'em right. Another huge talent imo, is Winehouse, and she is similarly afflicted. Easy to be judgemental. Personally, I wish they were clean and enriching our lives with their talent

In the words of Harry Hill...
The problem with Heroin.... it's very moorish.

Whilst he may be about to get "banged up", surely thats part of the problem?
That he (and hundreds, probably thousands, like him) are repeatedly let off with fines, community punishments, supervision orders, etc, etc rather than facing any real punishment.
I'm not suggested that people with an addiction should be locked in jail forever for a first offence, but how many chances do they get?
It's also not helped by the record company having enough wedge to constantly get him out of the sh*t when what he really needs is treatment combined with a genuine desire to get clean. Still, money talks louder than ethics ever did.

Have spent another day in the local rehab centre, and what a fantastic bunch of men and women. Mine is not to reason why, mine is to feed them. I hope above all hopes they can carry on when they leave.

Tis a fact that a massive amount of music over the decades has come from talented people partial to the old chemical prop.
Is it the creative adventurous persona of the artist that draws them to it to prolong their inspiration or vis versa or a bit of both? Whatever it is I think no one ever sets out deliberately to be fucked on drugs it just becomes a consequence of reckless use. Maybe they ought to be some legalized controlled outlet of drugs, just a thought
