Danny Graham to replace Becks if he goesAccording to the YEP we will make a move for Danny Graham if Becks leaves. Graham has rejected a new contract offer from Carlisle.
Has a pretty good record at this level and may improve in a better team. Only 23 so has time on his side too

Leeds United are ready to bid for Carlisle United striker Danny Graham if Jermaine Beckford completes a transfer away from Elland Road.
Graham is seen by Leeds as a credible replacement for Beckford, who is on the transfer list and may part company with United before next season, and the club are understood to have made enquiries about Carlisle's 23-year-old forward.
The former Middlesbrough trainee has opted to leave Brunton Park this summer at the end of his contract, and he made his intentions clear by rejecting the offer of a new deal with Carlisle. |

I hope not. He's too similar to Becchio and they would not make a good pairing. If there's one thing we've learned from this season is that Becchio must play with a fast, mobile partner, not another target man.
The only reason Graham's mentioned is because people have cottoned on to 'the Bates way': let's get promotion with free transfers/out of contract players while we sell our talent for whatever we can get.
Graham would be fine as a squad player, a backup for Becchio. No good at all as a partner to him.

I was hoping that that would not be the case.

Yeah, but there's no way Bates will cough up the transfer fee Gillingham would want for him now.
