Anyone care....to still suggest that Poyet was not responsible for our spectacular early-season form?
Also, I see Derry played yet another 90 minutes in the Championship today..pity he's not fit enough for the division below..

We'll probably bounce back but that was horrible - in fact the Xmas/New Year period has been horrible.

That short arsed prick better sort the defence out sharpish, or we will be buggered quicker than Kevin is on a friday night.

It's sad about Derry, but that episode is Wise's doing. He made a mole out of a molehill last season and some of the fallout from that stuck to Derry, whether he was guilty or not, and the matter was never officially resolved.
This season he wrote Derry off as surplus to requirements (you don't send player to a division above to get fit. Now Derry's doing well in a resurgent Palace side and people are surprised he's not keen on returning to play for a man he doesn't trust in a lower league. We can't even argue that we are his employers because in actual fact it is Palace who are paying his wages.
I do however agree that Poyet's role was underestimated. Wise at Millwalldid OK but was inconsistent, and no one was breaking down the door to hire him after that stint. Then he and Poyet get the Swindon jobs and start off great guns there too.
We've done great to be where we are this season, but if we blow it from here there will be questions about Wise's long term suitability.

It is far too simplistic to suggest Poyet leaving as the reason why results have been poor. We weren't playing great football when he was here but seemed to consistantly nick the last minute goals - that was always gonna end at some point.
I think the loss of Douglas is far more important than the loss of Poyet. Sometimes it takes a player to be missing for players to realise the impact he has on the team. Defensively we used to be fairly solid but without Douglas shielding the defence we have been ripped apart every game.

Gus had the run on Wise....He could speak 2 more languages for a start (the truth and Spanish).

Aye. I suspect the problem is now that we don't have anyone who can translate the manager's bollox-talk into something the players can understand. Communicating with other people does not seem to be one of Wise's attributes.
