The quality from divx was by far the best, was the movies, that it was well known for, not tv shows, was never an experiment Ben, dont believe the statement they put out, Answer is simple, they are being sued for copyright infringement, and to hopefully avoid this they are shutting down under the movie studio's pressure, as well their bandwith has gone through the roof and is costing a fortune, because of it's popularity. Divx will survive in some form, their sole purpose is to enable the compatability to play all media across all devices. and whats with the rolling eyes ??? |

the rolling eyes were because you were making a rather dramatic statement its not the end of the world 
If they were being sued they would go the way of Alluc, Tvlinks and Youtube in taking down the offending material and working on a way to bypass the laws (alluc managed that) When Stage6 was first set up they said it was an experiment and that it would probably not last. But there are plenty more where it came from and more sites that offer DivX videos so no tears please

Incorrect Ben, when Stage 6 was set up, it was never announced as an experiment, this is why so many are pissed off, and movies are taken down all the time.
ahh well looks like it's back to torrents yet again for me 
also you will find that when stage 6 closes, all thos other divx sites, joox redcurtain etc will close as well, as there all linked to stage 6 movies and material |

having been using sites that link to other sites for ages i can say that thats were you're wrong, there are other sites that use divX that are seperate entities...
anyway, i stream all my stuff, much better and much less illegal |

Ben , you are aware that Divx, are the the actual owners of stage 6, and it is their technology that some of these other sites may use, if you know of any that are using Divx, and arent linked through stage 6 content, could you give me there web addy please, cos thats what ive been looking for.. I dont wanna revert to torrents and newsgroups. | ||

I'll have a root mate, problem is i stream all my TV through link sites so i will have to look through the vids i've watched, and annoyingly Alluc, TV shack and Show Tvlinks had a bit of a purge a while back
shall post up when i find it, but try looking here http://show-links.tv/tv_shows/ or here http://tvshack.net/ the main ones i found were a while ago and theat was just on a heroes only site that had its own divX videos of Heroes. |
