20,257looking at our attendence v Cheltenham you might think its on the low side....until you look at our play-off rivals from last nights figures:
Doncaster 7,867
Carlisle 5,489
Southend 8,376
Walsall 4,309
Oldham 3,633
Orient 3,082
Even table storming Swansea only attract 11,039. Forest are the exception with 20,000 but Tranmere and Brighton (and maybe Bristol Rovers if you think they can win their 4-5 games in hand) our other rivals only get around 7-8,000.
What all this analysis of a wet Tuesday in March attendences does is show that combined with our goal difference we still have advantages over others in the play-off race (and that's before any Arby miricle), our home and away support CAN make the difference come May (remember we could finish 20 points behind 3rd it won't matter come the play-offs so long as we are in).
This is my long-winded way of saying we need to suspend opinion and discontent (subject to dropping Kandol obviously) and get behind Mac and the lads all the way to Yeovil and back. We NEED to be in the end of season lottery come what may, failure could mean anything in ownership terms (Shephard...) or management (god knows who might replace Mac). Its been a while since we rocked this division, TIME we shock Burslem to the core Saturday, remind the Sky watching public just how awesome a club we can be against Walsall and then put the Uddersvillage in its place before scaring the posh southern seaside boys on the 29th. Results may conspire against us being 6th or above before we step onto the pitch for our game of the season at the Keepmoat but lets ensure WE have done all we can to inspire our squad over the next 4 games.
Heart felt bollox over.

If attendances were points we'd be top flight (along with Forest) at the expense of the likes of Blackburn, Wigan and Fulham.
We regularly get bigger attendances than most Premiership games, which is remarkable given the sh*te served up most weeks.
But I do understand your point.
