15 years ago today part 2I was 6 when it happened but I can remember the entire thing like it was yesterday. Seeing him go off the road into the barrier suddenly with seemingly no explanation. Not quite understanding what was going on at the time sat with my mum who believed he was gone immediately. I can vividly remember his head moving and shouting 'he's OK' to no avail. The significance at the time of it all was lost on me but even back then F1 was my life and in two days we lost two drivers.
The world of F1 has never been the same without his character but the two things I have any respect for Max Mosely come from this tragedy. The safety initiatives brought about by him have seen the likes of Robert Kubica survive a much harder hit than Ayrton.
RIP Ayrton never forget.

Just to add, the BBC have made there documentary on him from 1995 available online (probably just to those in the UK):
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8027912.stm
Its one of the best motorsports documentaries around if anyone is interested.

Ayrton Senna is without a doubt my all time motorsport hero.
He was without a doubt the finest driver I've ever seen and had he not tragically died, I'm certain that a certain Michael Scumacher wouldn't have won quite so many titles.
I was fortunate to get into F1 during his reign and at the time of his great duels with Alain Prost and doubt we'll see the like of that again. Two magnificent drivers, at the top of their game, in the same team racing without team orders.
RIP Ayrton
