I'm sure we had a book thread somewhere but it wasn't made a sticky

So for all those who can read  Twisted Evil a new thread in the same style as the film thread

I'll start

Rich Dad, Poor Dad - 9/10 (at least I now know WHY I am "poor dad"m Rolling Eyes )
raveydavey

What a Good Do! - James Whitham 9/10

A very funny, down to earth autobiography from Yorkshires own legendary motorcycle racer.

Not read that one Eddie but if you like that sort of thing read Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis about his life before and during the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They might not be everybodies fav band but chuff me sideways it is an amazing book.

Vic Reeves - Me : Moir - Autobiography

7/10 - enjoyable read without being too outstanding

A few years ago I might have given that a go, but Vic is no longer funny. In fact since he hooked up with lingerie model Nancy Sorrell and shortly afterwards turned up alongside her on I'm A Non-Entity, Get Me Out Of Here he became a deeply uncool embarrassing boil on the face of British comedy. His new wife truly is his Yoko Ono.

Still it all goes to prove what I said all along - Bob Mortimer is / was the comedy genius in that relationship (see seperate post on the YouTube thread).

Cheers, I'll look that one up. Not a big fan of autobiogs tbh, but I do like the music ones that remind us how mundane our lives really are  Crying or Very sad

The Kite Runner

Am 3/4 way through this fantastic book, a novel about friendship, betrayal, honour, guilt and atonement and a fascinating insight into a little-known culture.

If I was a critic I would say "It works on so many levels"

The Shack

Moved me to tears several times - heartwarming (and short)

Glad I have read it

We Were The Damned United - 9/10

I'd absolutely recommend it to any football fan, Leeds or not.
