Although it is generic and the law to despise the bastards it is getting harder and harder to. Time was when you could really hate their players like Keane, Ince, Hughes, Bruce, horse face et all. Now there is only Ronaldo who remotely inspires the same degree of feeling. Ferguson of course still holds the selfish arrogance crown. The rest of the players seem to behave themselves ok (aside from the odd hotel incidents), even Rio has diluted his twatishness these days.

The fans are a different story though. In truth the die hards are no different from us. Certainly the ones I know are good lads. Aside from the expected banter I think they generally miss us and would prefer to be playing us than say Reading and Middlesbro. Its only the many thousands of plastic fans they have that just want to be associated with a big successful club that are really worthy of anything remotely like hate. I just cant be bothrered with them right now. All you got to do is ask them who was the manager before Fergie and 90% won’t know. That’s all you need to know about them.
