Had lunch with my eldest today. She said "really good up and coming band playing at the forum this week"

"oh who?" said I

"White Lies" said she.......Nearly fell off her chair when I did the old news routine....LOL

Not really gettimg into any new music right now. Since the super duper new xmas ipod ive been loading all my old stuff on it and ive been playing the blues all the time. John Lee Hooker, BB King stuff.

Friendly Fires are ace though and what ive heard of the Gaslight Anthem sounds good too. White Lies are the current darlings aint they but like Garp i aint too sure. We seem to get these doomy bands like Interpol, Editors periodically coming at us. Not that i dont like them cos i do, im just a bit suspiciouse of over hyping
